Or B) go to massive trouble to find a compiler that works on Windows without those 100s of gigabytes of visual studio and then go through a pain in the ass install process. You can A) Download 100s of gigabytes of visual studio to get Microsoft's compiler along with a lot of stuff you will never dream of using. On Windows, you have two options for software development with c based languages. Any form of software development or most forms of computer science is a complete pain in the ass on Windows compared to Linux. I'll also explain a bit why we prefer Linux in something a bit more related to you now. I also find it really simple and easy to use compared to the absolute clusterfuck that the windows gui has become. I like Linux mainly because I like using the terminal and I got sick of all the shit Microsoft is pulling on Windows 11 so just switched over. Jokes aside, the main reason most of us use it is because of personal preference. So why do people use it? Just because it's harder and way less efficient than other OS? Thanks It's unintuitive, overpriced, overcomplicated and I just can't endure using the bloated user interface. I am a student in Australia, and my teachers force me to use this OS on all subjects, which makes me wanna die. I hate windows so much, and I don't get why would anyone use this OS.
